Hi everyone! My name is Elyse Freeman and I’m SO excited to start my first summer as a counselor at Copper Creek.
I just graduated with a strategic communication degree from the journalism school at Ohio University… OU, oh yeah! During college, I spent the majority of my days—outside of the library, of course—on the lacrosse field with the women’s club team.
While this is my first summer at Copper Creek, I already have a feeling that I won’t want it to be my last. Some of the activities that I am most excited for include teaching kiddos how to waterski on Lake Almanor, hanging out on the high ropes course, and dancing around with my cabin during theme nights.
I consider myself to be an extremely outdoorsy person. In fact, I’m at my happiest when I am either on a mountain skiing or snowboarding, waterskiing across the wake at our local lake, or celebrating with my teammates during a lacrosse game. Regardless, I am extremely ecstatic about leaving Ohio to come out to Copper Creek this summer. See you in a few short weeks! I’m sure I’m not the only one counting down the days… okay more like minutes.
