We love sending groups out to various places around Plumas County for day hikes. This summer we used a near by lake that sits on the mountains above camp as a great destination.
The campers would pack a lunch and head out after breakfast for a short drive to the trail head.
The hike is only a few short miles through the gorgeous Plumas National Forest.
Once they reached the lake, campers and staff would swim, eat lunch, nap in the sun, and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.
After a quick group photo, the group would head back to the camp cars and make it home in time for dinner.
