We want everyone to participate, explore and enjoy.
Hopefully, for those who have been fortunate to experience the magic of summer camp, this blog will let them escape once again.
For those who are wondering what camp is all about, this blog will give you a glimpse into the special world of Coppercreek Camp.
We post photos, stories, camp history, camper and staff poetry, introduce the staff each spring and share about our different programs.
So, brew up a cup of hot cocoa (with marshmallows!), grab a comfy chair, and poke around this community blog to learn more about the magic of our delightful little summer camp.
My name is Celeste López, I’m 20 years old, I’m studying accountancy at the “Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla” (BUAP).
I always wanted to go to a camp. I love outdoor activities and I enjoy being with kids. I’m so excited about being a camp councelor this summer! It’s going to be amazing! 😀
My favorite hobby is drawing. I am really passionate about it. I enjoy swimming, roller and ice skating, volleyball and riding bike. Every day I go to school by bike. I like it a lot, it’s so much fun and relaxing to me.
I also like to read books and comics. On weekends I usually go to record videos with some friends. I also like to make animations in stop motion and speed paints. I really like crafts and cooking; especially desserts.
Recently I just started learning to play guitar and I want to continue with piano. I also like learning languages so much. Of course I speak Spanish, my native language, English, a little bit of French and I would like to learn Japanese.
I can’t wait to meet you all! 😀
Hi Everybody. My Name is Nick and I am thrilled to announce my return to camp for a 4th year!
I found out about Coppercreek in 2015, took a shot of applying and loved every minute of it since.
Some of my favorite memories from camp have been the cabins I have had the chance to be the leader of. From Battleship, to Graceland moving on up to the Brothership. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store and what cabin i get to be apart of this time!
Wondering where to find me this year?! Well you won’t have to look to hard at camp. I’m excited to be everywhere you can think of. Leading campers on adventurous climbs on the high ropes course, keeping campers safe in the pool and on the lake with my lifeguard expertise and even helping my team to victory at Camp Jam so we may eat 1st the next day! Don’t forget to come down to my favorite spot of them all, Small Animals!! I’ll show you how to properly feed the goats, pigs, and chickens a snack, as well as a chance to hold and pet them.
I’m excited for the adventures this summer and hope to see new and returning faces!

It’s going to be a blast to be in California and I look forward to meeting everyone.
Hi everyone! My name is Arelly and this will be my second year at Coppercreek.
I’m from Mexico and I’m really excited to have the chance to be back, I can’t wait to see all ofyour cute faces again and enjoy campfire, bbq nights, vespers, and all the fun stuff that camp has for everyone.
I love nature, animals, sports and food.
I´m studying hotel and restaurant management in Mexico and cooking is one of my hobbies. That’s one of the things you will see me doing in camp, besides playing soccer and joining random activities.
Traveling is one of the things that I enjoy the most, and having the chance to meet people from different places.
I’m pretty sure this would be another amazing summer for everyone, see you all very soon!
Hey, everybody! I’m Matt and I’m super excited to be a counselor this summer!
I’m from Eureka, California and I grew up playing with animals, building sand sculptures, hiking through the woods, and hanging out with my awesome siblings.
These days I’m a student at Willamette University in Oregon. I’m majoring in mathematics and I work as a sound technician on campus. I love riding my bike to school, hanging out with friends, playing guitar, and singing in choir and my silly a cappella group.
My favorite activities at camp are rock climbing, high ropes, and mountain biking. My parents were both counselors back in the day, and now I finally get to do it too! I’m really looking forward to having a great summer with you all!
Hey everyone, my name is Clare Burke, though most people call me Charlie, and I cannot wait to meet everyone at Coppercreek.
I grew up as a tomboy with two older brothers and a household of animals. I was riding a pony before I could even walk and I’ve never stopped loving everything about horses.
I love to surrounded myself with new people and new experiences. I am a recent Animal Science graduate from UC Davis where I found my passion for being a horse back riding instructor.
Some of my hobbies include traveling the world to work with wildlife, camping, kayaking, snowboarding, skateboarding, photography, and adventuring with my dogs- The Terrier Team (Teagan and Tango)!
I am looking forward to creating magical memories at Coppercreek!
Hi everyone! My name is Becka and I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to work with the Coppercreek Crew this summer!
Currently I live in Northern Colorado, very close to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. I just graduated with my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. I love being around children, and hope to one day work as a School Counselor.
Aside from my professional and educational goals I love music of all kinds. Recently I have gotten into music that emphasizes the use of the saxophone as it is one of my favorite sounds.
I am a very easy-going person and enjoy the simple and fun things in life; swimming, hiking, going to concerts at the beautiful Red Rocks in Morrison Colorado, traveling, spending time with friends, and family.
I hope to spend more time working with children, traveling w/in the United States and eventually make it out of the country. Can’t wait to meet you all!
